At Rock County Sealcoat, every job begins with a thorough asphalt cleaning — we edge the surface, remove vegetation and debris from cracks, treat oil spots, and blow everything clean before any material is applied. From there, we address all cracking using hot-pour rubberized crack filler. For more severe cracking, we offer crack routing — a more thorough method that mechanically prepares the crack channel
before sealing.Once the surface is prepared, we apply Pitch Black®, a premium rubberized asphalt emulsion sealcoat blended with select minerals, polymers, and chemicals. Pitch Black® delivers a deep, lasting jet-black finish with the firmest body and greatest durability available in the market. Its expansion and contraction coefficient matches asphalt pavement exactly, creating a natural bond that holds through Wisconsin freeze-thaw cycles. Pitch Black® is non-toxic, asbestos-free, contains no carcinogens, and is environmentally friendly — and because it dries quickly, line striping can be completed the same day as sealing.
We apply Pitch Black® using commercial spray equipment, professional squeegees, or a combination of both. Single and double coat options are available. For commercial clients, we coordinate professional line striping, including parking stalls, directional arrows, ADA-compliant handicap markings, and fire lanes.

When is the Best Time to Sealcoat your
Driveway or Parking lot?
It is recommended that you sealcoat your driveway or parking lot every 2-3 years, a general rule of thumb is that if you can see the color of the stones that make up the asphalt, it is time to sealcoat it. The best time of year to sealcoat your surface is May-October, with the optimal temperature being 60 degrees or above. It’s also worth noting that you shouldn’t touch or drive on a recently sealcoated surface for 24 hours after completion.

Edge asphalt and remove dirt from all cracks using power edgers. Eliminate all weeds. Prep and pre-seal oil spots. Blow off asphalt to remove and remaining debris.
Fill
Repair and fill cracks using hot-pour rubberized crack sealant. For more severe cracking, we also offer crack routing, a more thorough method that widens and cleans the crack channel before sealing for a longer-lasting result.
Seal
Apply Pitch Black commercial-grade asphalt sealcoat using spray application, squeegee application, or a combination of both. Single and double coat options available. The application method is selected based on surface condition, age, and job specifications.
